BreastCheck breast screening is free for women aged 50 to 69. It involves having a mammogram, which is an x-ray of the breast. It’s used to help find breast cancer when it is too small to see or feel.
They aim to offer free breast screening to every woman close to where she lives. Our mobile clinics stay in one place for up to two years at a time, depending on the number of women in that area who are due screening. Women who have been waiting the longest will get their appointment first. If you haven’t had your first BreastCheck screening, you can check you are on our register at BreastCheck.ie
